I had a great time painting these two pieces at Salts Pots in Saltaire – one is a large cylinder, kind of straight vase or brush pot I’ve painted in cobalt blue on the inside, and the outside has green and turquoise palm leaves and aloes, and some blue strokes representing the wind or sea waves. The other one is a small round plate with a wavy border where I painted two white love doves, a half moon and a star – leaving them white out of a blue background. The rim has a pink wave running along the border replicating the piece shape.
I’d like to say a huge thank you to my old office friends, for such a nice and thoughtful leaving present.
